Implants

This specialized course has been developed with the Endodontist in mind.

Implant dentistry has evolved to a point where it is not just mainstay but inevitable as far as predictability. Where endo teeth fail and the success rates are lower in some cases, the evolution into a more predictable treatment modality for some of these cases is with Implant Dentistry.

Gain the knowledge to take implants into your referral endodontic practice while assisting your referral base with proper case design and treatment planning.

At the completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Implement the IDEC Institute Philosophy of comprehensive oral implant rehabilitation by performing advanced diagnosis and treatment sequencing for case planning.
  • Understand the relationship between hard and soft tissue architecture as it relates to bone grafting and Implant Dentistry.
  • Understand and apply the principles of interactive CT diagnosis and treatment planning for advanced bone grafting procedures and Implant Case Planning.
  • Identify clinically significant anatomic variables for autogenous bone grafting for horizontal and vertical augmentation.
  • Utilize interactive CT software to evaluate hard tissue donor sites.
  • Apply fundamental and comprehensive biomechanical principles that dictate bone grafting surgical protocol.
  • Understand the indications and surgical protocols for ridge expansion.
  • Understand the indications and surgical protocols for maxillary sinus bone grafting.
  • Understand the indications and surgical protocols for block grafting.

  • Utilize growth factor technology in conjunction with bone grafting protocols.
  • Understand the indications and application of immediate provisionals.
  • Understand the case sequencing for phased treatment plans.
